Jim HumphreysRocky Bullock (Managing Partner, Founder, and leader of Supply Practice)

Rocky has 30 plus years of experience in the technology industry with expertise in professional services, systems integration, product design, new product introductions, technology development, sales, operations, manufacturing and logistics. He has held executive and senior manager positions at Dell, IBM, Digital Equipment, Pitney Bowes as well as several start-up and growth companies.

Rocky is a recognized key architect of Dell’s vaunted Supply Chain, which revolutionized procurement, manufacturing, distribution and inventory management during the 1990’s. Rocky ran Dell’s Enterprise Operations during this time, which he grew from $2M/yr and 30 employees to $3B/yr and 1,000 employees, in less than 3 years. He built Dell’s award winning PN1 factory and expanded operations internationally, into the EMEA and APAC theatres. Post Dell, Rocky was the COO of a custom logistics company where he was responsible for ramping Dell’s first consolidated SLC.

Prior to Dell, Rocky held senior management positions at IBM, where he successfully designed and ramped IBM’s first high volume SMT facility and provided corporate leadership to the implementation of lean manufacturing practices worldwide. While at Digital, Rocky held executive roles in operations, technology, and professional services. There he led worldwide technology and manufacturing engineering organizations, successfully managed the deployment of two, multi-year, $10M+ system integration programs. He also established and grew a semiconductor consulting practice to $1M/yr revenue in less than a year and was program director for the corporate reengineering project. After Digital, Rocky was at Pitney Bowes in the role of Director of Manufacturing Technology.

Rocky has an M.S. and B.S. from the University of Texas in Mechanical Engineering.

 

John DoyleJohn Doyle (Managing Partner and Leader of the Marketing & Sales Practice)

John has over 25 years experience in all aspects of the Marketing function, including product and market strategy, go-to-market planning and execution, branding, product marketing, channel marketing, portfolio management, social media, SEM/SEO, managed services, product launch, analyst, press and investor relations, industry marketing, digital media and market development.  A High-Tech veteran, John has an in-depth knowledge of the data communications, network security and telecom industries, having held leadership positions at Turin Networks (now Force10), Secure Computing (now McAfee), Nortel, Bay Networks, Data General (now EMC) and a number of start-ups and mid-sized companies.

While at Nortel, John established the Contivity VPN portfolio as the premier brand in the IP VPN Gateway market, taking Contivity from inception to $100M in revenue in just 18 months. John left Nortel in 2004 and became Vice President of Global Marketing for CyberGuard, where he was responsible for Portfolio Strategy, Product Marketing, Product Management, AR/PR, Investor Relations, Advertising, Channel Marketing, Events and Programs.  CyberGuard was successfully sold to Secure Computing in 2006.

Most recently, John was Vice President of Global Marketing for Turin Networks, where he had worldwide responsibility for Corporate Marketing, Product Management, Product Marketing, Solutions Marketing, Channel Marketing/Development, Federal Marketing and Business Development.  Turin was the global leader in next generation wireless backhaul, Carrier Ethernet and converged services platforms and merged with Force10 Networks in 2009.

John has an B.A. and M.A. in English from Boston College.

Jim has over 27 years experience in the technology industry with success in Quality, Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain Logistics, Service Operations and Value Added Services.

He has held senior management and executive positions at Dell and Wang as well as a number of start-up companies.

While at Dell, Jim was responsible for driving the implementation of Dell’s Q.U.E.S.T. quality program across EMEA. He also ran Dell’s Enterprise Operations for Europe which grew to $1B per year and also surged from the 13th position to the number 2 position in market share. In addition, Jim ran Dell’s European Value Added Services Operations which grew from $50M to $250M over a period of 2 years.

Since leaving Jim has founded three start-up ventures ranging from Electronic Displays, Systems Service and Repair Operations for Laptops and Neutraceutical Foods.

Jim has a BSC in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Limerick as well as post graduate diplomas in Account and Finance (ACCA).
